Poetix Seminar – 1 session, 2-3hrs
- An overview of spoken-word’s historicity, a brief survey of audio & video examples, writing exercises & performance coaching (optional)
Poetix Dichotomy – 2 sessions, 3hrs/ each
- As above, with writing and performance separated into separate sessions allowing more in depth exploration
Poetix Residency – 5 sessions, 2hrs/ each
- Full week of workshops cultivating thematic writing skills, incorporating use of literary devices and practice with public speaking/ performance techniques
Poetix Institute – 10 sessions, 2hrs/ each
- As above, with a complete program fully realizing a spoken-word poem from concept to dynamic performance
Poetix Phase 3 – 15 sessions, 2hrs/ each
- As above, with additional phase outlining basic print and audio media production with standard computer applications
Px Café – Spoken-word event featuring student performances - designed, coordinated, & (if desired) headlined by Graham Hackett a.k.a WEAVER
- A practical application of acquired skills through performing for an audience; excellent for closure to any POETIX program
